Here are eight avoidable measures to take before you decide to travel to Australia.
From small to big, these tips will help better your trip and keep locals happy.
1. Wave to the Bus Drivers
Buses are a great way to get around Australia, but before you go you must know what the bus drivers expect from you. When you get on or off the bus, ensure you are waving your bus driver hello or goodbye before you go. This is not only to establish respect but also give the drivers a better day.
2. Do not go outside without sunscreen
Do not risk ruining your trip by getting third degree burns while vacationing. Lather up as much as possible, as the sun in this country is extremely hot. I recommend reapply sunscreen every thirty minutes!
3. Check if Oceans are Safe Before Arriving
If this is your first time in Australia, ensure you know which oceans are safe and which are not safe. Some beaches will have active sharks, stingrays or crocodiles. Ensure you are going to beaches in heavily populated areas!
4. Never hike the Outback alone
The Outback seems very exciting and appealing but never go alone. I recommend bring a small group of friends if you decide you want to camp or hike in the Outback. The Outback is an experience I would recommend for anyone but just be aware of the weather, snakes, spiders, and dehydration.
